We regret having to share news of a leadership change at Thestra.
Tomi Numminen has decided to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Thestra Oy, effective March 6, 2026, in order to pursue the establishment of a new entrepreneurial venture.
“Although Tomi’s time with Thestra was relatively brief, he contributed to the company’s strategic direction and development work during an important phase. I want to thank Tomi both personally and on behalf of Thestra for his contributions. We wish him the best of success in his next chapter,” commented Tom Palenius, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thestra Oy.

At the same time, I have decided to take the step toward a lifetime dream of mine – being part of establishing a new company, an opportunity I feel I cannot miss. I believe that Thestra’s EPLINEX® will be a game changer in stratifying head and neck cancer patients for treatment and I wish Thestra continued success in the future.”
Thestra remains fully focused on advancing its strategy and activities. Discussions with a potential new CEO are already well underway. Thestra’s Board of Directors will provide further updates regarding leadership arrangements and next steps in due course.
