Thestra has expanded its intellectual property portfolio by in-licensing a patent family from the University of Turku covering a novel cancer biomarker closely aligned with Thestra´s core focus in patient therapy stratification.
The portfolio includes granted patents in the USA, Europe, and Japan, strengthening Thestra’s international IP position. The patents cover the development of monoclonal antibodies against the target and their use in immunohistochemistry‑based diagnostics across multiple cancer types, including HNSCC. In addition, the patent family protects PCR‑ and sequencing‑based detection methods, further broadening the diagnostic applications.
